Absence Makes My Heart Grow Fonder

While waiting for my laundry to be done, I decided to blog a bit about my recent life. Yeah, I know I've gone missing in action ever since I completed my course. Well, it feels like I'm at a loose end but hello, that doesn't mean I am not doing anything lately. I am always doing something, okay!

In fact, I was pretty busy celebrating my birthday over the last weekend and yeah, in other words I was all caught up in getting drunk! Hahahahaha. It's true how some people say alcohol makes miracle. Alcohol really does, and I believe the saying. ;-) Not gonna elaborate further until my next post, that's it.

Well, I guess I won't be updating anytime soon after this post cause' I'll be departing from Zurich back to Malaysia on this coming Saturday and truth be told, in one part of me, I'm getting pretty excited since' I'll be home very soon and in no time, I'll be meeting up with my close friends back in KL but in another part of me, I feel rather sad knowing that I'll be bidding goodbye to some close friends of mine whom I've gone through my roller-coaster life with for the past one year.

Now that all of them will be leaving for good after the graduation ceremony and I won't be seeing them again next year, only god knows when we will be seeing each another again. Ahhh, that's an ugly truth my heart can't take at this very moment. Don't underestimate this, little changes like this cause a huge impact to me, I swear! It's starting to hit me really hard. I'm pretty sure for a crying baby like me, my tears are going to fall incontrollably like waterfall upon leaving on Saturday! I can see it comin', I swear! Well, I already cried once last Saturday! ;-( Sigh. That's because I know I'm going to miss all of them very badly.

Whatever it is, I love all of you for who you are.
I'm about to burst into tears already. ;-(
Sigh.

Anyways, I need to resume packing!
And to all my dearest and closest friends,
there are lots and lots of gifts in my huge luggage bag
awaiting all of you!
XOXO!

The End of German.

In just a blink of an eye,
I've already come to the end of my German Course.
Yeah, that's how quickly time passes.

I was expecting some screwed up grades this time round cause' I had been skipping classes regularly. Most of the time after skipping a few classes in a row, I would always end up staring at my lecturer the next day with lots of question marks spinning on top of my bloody head. The week before my final exam seemed like the toughest week of all to me that I could hardly catch my breath! Afterall, I guess that's the price to pay for skipping classes too regularly ? Well, being both a student and a good tutor to myself at the same time, it was a total pain in the arse. Absolutely tough and it nearly caused suicide, I swear!

But yours truly managed to pull through afterall!
Never thought the results would turn out to be excellent
in the end. Absolutely astonishing! So yeah, the effort was paid
off and I sure take pride in it. ;-)

Now that I've completed my course, I don't have to worry about rising early in the morning. It sure feels good for the time being, more so my brain is in desperate need of a break anyways. On a random note, I can't wait to fly home next week for my holiday!

Weee veeee. ;-)

Lugano, My Shopping Haven.

Headed to Lugano over the weekend for my self-proclaimed final shopping spree ( which i seriously don't think that's the end, just yet! ) before I start packing up to go home for holiday. Duh. Woke up damn early in the morning to catch the train from Zurich to Lugano (an italian region in switzerland). Since 1st class offers much more spacious seats, we decided to give it a try despite paying a tad more. As much as we wanted to save, we didn't want to end up walking like a robocop after riding 3 hours in the train. Heck, my backbone nevertheless still hurt the shit out of me through out the entire journey cause' yours truly, being a real dumbass, only found out that the seats can actually be adjusted downwards and backwards when I was about to reach Lugano ! Hahahaha. So yeah, the journey back from Lugano wasn't that bad afterall.

The subway train from Lugano to Mendrisio,
the cabins are so much nicer & cleaner
compared with those of in Zurich.

At one moment, it felt like I was just standing in another
part of the world, cause' everything was written in bloody Italian.
Just so you know, that's the amazing part about Switzerland.
People speak in 3 types of languages within
one country! ;-)

We had a hard time getting taxi, so my camera ended up being our life saviour. We snapped a picture of the map and from there, we followed the direction and headed to Fox Town from the train station by foot instead. There were 5 hotlines of the taxi companies listed on the board, 3 of which weren't available, and the rest, just forget about it cause' none of them can neither speak English nor German. ;-(

Lugano Train Station ;-)

Absolutely undeniable that,
Lugano has better and more scenic views than Zurich does,
but it's sad how i couldn't snap a nice picture of the view, cause'
everywhere was completely covered by thick mist on that morning.

So, yeah that's fox town, which houses
factory outlets of designer brands.
I name it, my bloody shopping haven that
caused my wallet to bleed profusely despite the stuff being
offered at such dirt cheap prices. ;-)

Okay, the YSL outlet was the first and also being the last picture I took inside Fox Town itself. Got literally dumbfounded upon stepping my foot on it and I went totally speechless on seeing the amount of branded outlets, more so there were too many favourite stores to kick off my shopping spree with and I seriously didn't even know where I should start from! Anyways, I had no time to snap pictures of the other stores at all so the rest of the pictures below are extracted from the internet websites. ;-)

Picking up clothes from the rack was fun,
but the process of lining up to pay nearly killed me alive.

There wasn't anything in it that wowed me! Thus, leaving the store
with a frowning face, cause' I was really expecting something from Dior,
since it was cheap. A pair of out-of-season heels cost FR300. Uhm, think twice.
Might as well I pay a tad more for a pair of new season shoes from Dior, eh ?
Doesn't that make more sense ?

The splurging result after 3 hours but I would say it could have been
much better if it wasn't for the long queue at the counters.
Such a real pain in the arse. T_T

Not forgetting to mention, my poor baby fell in love at first sight
with this pair of Dolce & Gabanna prestigious sneakers that was only
offered at FR300. Frowned immediately after he was told of this,
" Sorry sir, ran out of sizes. "

The Gucci store looks slightly run down..
more so, most of the bags in the store are plain awful. Pfft.
Hence, nothing from Gucci.

Spent 30 minutes in Versace helping someone to choose VSC jeans for
his gorgeous ladies and that totally made me forgot about
picking one for myself as well. Hahahaha. So, I reckon you should know
by now how kind and helpful I am. Hmmpph. T__T

The best place to shop in, and no regrets for sure! ;-)
I was trying to pick a wallet for daddylove, but nothing seems nice.
Just when I decided to grab a few shirts for him, they ran out of sizes again.
How disappointing! But it's okay, hahaha. At least we didn't
leave the store empty-handed and i still felt good! ;-)

Armani Outlet, that consists of Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani,
etc. From the highest to the lowest range of the brand 'Armani ',
you can find them here. And trust me, they are all dirt cheap! I was
about to buy something, but time just didn't seem to excuse me!

So I dashed off to burberry to wrap up my shopping
spree in the last 10 minutes ! Lucky enough, I managed
to sweep a couple of things away from the Burberry!
But oh gosh, I nearly got suffocated shopping in
Burberry! ;-(

Hah. Say goodbye to Lugano as for now, till we meet again
sometime next year.
I'll be back soon ! ;-)

Obviously, I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome cause' I know
if the stores were to be less crowded, everything would have been much better and the outcome would turn out to be more fruitful, I guess. Anyways, forget about it cause' afterall, it's not like I bought nothing at all. Hahahahaha.

Paid a shit load of money for a shit load of stuff, so I think it's worth it.
Mind you, none of the shirts in the picture above belongs to me. ;-(
For daddylove, mommylove and babylove only.
Perhaps, shirts for mommylove will end up being my shirts as well,
hahahaha. Most probably, without a doubt.

( that's the wonder of having a mother who likes, carries and wears the same
stuff as her daughter! ;-) )

Okay, and what's even more worthy was that, my feet were almost shattered into pieces after 6 hours of continuous fast paced walking but anyhow, I still came home feeling happy cause' I've never done such crazy thing in the longest time! Do you feel happy for me too ?! ROFL. Asides that, each of us kicked start our day with a tiny bun at 10 in the morning and surprisingly, we were still standing straight and strong after 8 hours! ( We didn't want to waste our time eating! So, all we wanted to do was just to shop, shop and to continue shopping for more, ROFL! ) Only after having done with everything, all of us realized that we were actually so hungry that we could even swallow a cow and eventually we smashed any tom, dick and harry we could find near the train station!

So, that's what it takes to be a compulsive shopper.
Welcome to my pathetic life, I'm willing to starve myself
close to death just so to shop for more stuff.
Can you do it ?
Hahahaha. ;-)

iPhone is Back.

Yeah, I sent my phone for repair service 2 weeks ago and the guy told me that if
they happened to find out any water stains or broken parts, my warranty sure
will be voided. Freaked the shit out of me ! Cause' as far as I remember,
my phone died after I cried on the phone. The tears could have gone
into it and caused my phone to black out ? I don't know.

So, two weeks later, with a heart beating so fast, I went to the store
to collect my bloody phone. The girl gave me a surprise! ;-)
They replaced it with a new phone cause' apparently, they didn't
manage to trace the problems. So yeah, it wasn't my fault
Hahahaha! I repeat, it wasn't my fault! ;-)

Now, I've got a complete new iPhone to start with, I'll make sure it will be well taken care of, ROFL. ;-) When I first bought my iPhone, you know how I never even bothered spending a few pennies on iPhone cases to save my phone from scratches and my old iPhone was completely covered by scratches and even the apple marking faded.

LESSONS LEARNED!

So, the first thing I actually bought after collecting the phone
was an iPhone case! ;-) Hahahaha.

Dropped by at Apple Store and this Paul Frank case
got my attention. ;-) Hahaha. I'm not going to reveal the
price, cause' I know most of you would most probably go like
' how stupid can you be somemore ?! ' to have paid
this amount just for a case. Hahahaha.

Yeah well, that's me and that's shanny. Hahahaha.
I'm not stupid, but it's just that my self-control is not
functioning properly, and I guess that always happen
. ;-)

I'm the angel, she's the devil.

Finally, the long awaited new menu has now been
introduced in Naga Sui. So, I brought Miss Hayley Lam there
and she almost went crazy over the new menu.
Slurps, indeed a yummy dinner on a chilling night.

Thumbs up for the Wan Ton Noodle,
A simple meal like this made my night, since I can hardly
find a restaurant that offers such Asian food in Switzerland.

Ms. Hayley Lam ordered this beef noodle, which is
served in Taiwanese style. It's so scrumptious that
she finished everything, almost including the soup.
It's definitely a must-try especially during winter season,
it somehow warms up your body. Thumbs up for the
noodle, it's worth every single penny!

Accompanied this woman of mine to do some shopping before we headed to Naga Sui for the yummylicious dinner. She knows very well that I must control myself from splurging on anything in these 2 weeks cause' I need to save up like really a lot for my Tag Heuer watch, Gucci & LV bags before flying home for my one month holiday. Who knows she's being such an evil to me on that night. She tried tempting me in every single way, just so to get me splurge along with her on more clothes and shoes. You're right, I gave in to her eventually. Anyways, it felt like a blessing in disguise to me that the ballerina flats ran out of sizes. Thus, leavin' the store without a single thing in my hand, such a good girl! Haha.

Till then,
toodles.
;-)

Imsoniac is my new name.

Been feeling really frustrated with myself, or
rather with something I don't know what that makes me feel this way.

Insomnia is such a pain in the ass. Anyways, I'm not even
sure myself if insomnia is the thing killing me inside out.
Tend to toss and turn in the bed for hours, spending time on those
never-ending thoughts that do not deserve my time and thoughts
that I know very well it will never come true no matter what.

Somehow, this bloody habit really creeps the shit out of me cause I've been skipping classes regularly due to this sleeping problems and shit. You know how it feels to be rolling and tossing in bed from 2 a.m. and you won't get to fall asleep until the sky turns bright or in other words, my eyelids will only feel heavy when the clock strikes 7 every morning. Now it totally seems like I am physically living in the Europe Continent but my body clock completely belongs to the America Continent. Okay, and before I end this shit, keep this way from my parents. SHHHH. Thank you very much, ROFL cause' you know elderly people somehow have this mindset that not attending classes regularly means flushing your parents' money into the toilet bowl. ( Come to think of it, it's actually quite true. Hehe. )

HOLY SHIT,
FRUSTRATION IS THE HITTEST THING.

Baby's 21st Birthday at Mere Catherine

Instead of celebrating my Fluffy Pillow's birthday on the day itself he turned legal, we had to push the plan forward since our birthday boy couldn't get any day off on his birthday. Oh, poor boy. He was notified of the bad news merely one day before his birthday and well, the excitement in me was instantly washed off the moment I was told of the same thing cause' we already had plans in mind of what to do but in the end, I'm shy to say everything just didn't work out the way we'd expected them to.

So, plan amendments was made to celebrate his birthday over the weekend and because' we have been eating way too much Asian Food ever since we moved to Zurich, we spared no effort searching for a restaurant that serves French food. The process of walking & hunting took up 1.5 hours, before we landed in this typical French Restaurant, namely Mere Catherine in Zurich which its location is pretty much hidden away from the main street...

the restaurant is smoke-free, but they do have a bar
next to it, which can be accessed from the restaurant itself,
that conveniently allows you to walk in anytime you want,
fag till you die through out the dining process.

Pumpkin Soup

French Onion Soup

Me being me,
feel obligated as always to snap a picture
before kicking off the meal.
ROFL.

Noisettes d’agneau en croûte de fines
herbes Gratin dauphinois et ratatouille

Noix de coquilles St. Jacques et crevettes
à la crème au safran Taglierini et côtes de blette

Not my intention to put both my hands next to my ears.
It was by accident. I know I look weird but
please do not laugh at me. Please.

Speaking of the food, the noisettes was so tender and delicious and apart from that, the scallops and king prawns were also cooked to perfection but then what deserved the biggest hoo-haa was the safran sauce. In short, everything was so perfectly cooked that we didn't even get the slimmest chance to point out the imperfections. Not forgetting, the restaurant was rather empty at the time we walked in and it was absolutely astonishing at the end to see the amount of crowd dining in Mere Catherine! ;-)

The food is simply too good that we couldn't afford to leave
the restaurant without even trying their desserts!

Panna cotta sur coulis de framboises
Hands down. The Panna Cotta is by far the best I've ever eaten.

Crème catalane

Happy Birthday to You , Baby Boo Hoo.
I really hope you have a memorable one for
21st birthday only comes once in a lifetime.
There's indeed nothing special about this dinner itself,
but at least you'll remember this is the first time you
celebrated your birthday in a place far away from home,
and that's your 21st Birthday.

I wish you lifetime happiness, success in your career and much love.
Promise that we'll always be there holding each other's hands,
continue walking down the road and counting down to the
4th year of celebrating our birthdays together.

Happy Birthday To You, Baby Mushroom Boo!
Once again, I love you whole-heartedly
and I swear from the bottom of my heart, I really do!

Hello Baby Prada, Goodbye iPhone.

Could someone please explain to me why has my luck
been continuously failing on me nowadays ?

My 8 months old iPhone died on me last week.
Never thought my LG Prada would ever get the chance to
serve me again after going on months of retirement.

Out of a sudden, the screen blacked out. Tried doing hard-reset on my phone for countless of times, but still it didn't work at all. Messages are still coming in, phone is still ringing but you just can't see a single shit on the screen. Simultaneously, my phone would begin to overheat, and it took me at least 4 to 5 hours to charge my battery full and as fast as 30 minutes for my battery to go empty again.

Well, initially I thought it was my fault for not taking well care of my iPhone. But then, I cracked my head wondering to myself how often do I actually drop my bloody phone ? At most, 2 or 3 times since I bought it in March this year. So I googled the problem and only to find out that black out on iPhone screen has been a major problem to many iPhone users, it even happened to the new 3Gs. So I'm sending it back to Orange tomorrow, hopefully they'll be able to repair for me or else, let's welcome a new one, as simple as that! ;-)

SIGH. SIGH. SIGH. T____T
SO SPEECHLESS MAN.

Feel so naked going to school every morning
without that complete long lists of music,
and the Sally Salon & Spa games on my phone!

Round 2, Yoda's Belated Birthday Celebration.

Right after the birthday dinner at Hooters, we went our separate ways to get changed for the next round of belated birthday celebration for Master Yoda. This time around, the guys decided to escape Opera for once and threw the celebration party at Rok, Luzern. No doubt, I really had good times enjoying the company of my friends & the insane amount of drinks on that night. Apart from that, the guys had pre-booked the lounge area in advance and so we had ample space to move around on that night and most importantly, we got to stay away from the unique scents of those sweaty armpits in the club. ROFL.

Somehow, my friends tend to act like a retard next
to me. I don't know why, seriously.
Wait, do I look like one too ?

Absent-minded Dai Bo
& Sai Bo. ;-)

Because I love her so much,
hence I don't mind kissing her.

I'm equipped with high voltage of self-defense,
I'm not scared of you. Boo hoo hoo.

UNEXPLAINABLE
as to why my friends never fail to act like a retard
next to me.

A toast to the birthday boy,
our Master Yoda.

Adorable Pani & I,
our very first picture together after countless
times of partying together in Opera. ROFL.

Birthday Boy & I
May your wishes come true.
Earn more money, buy me a diamond ring
and I'll love you more. ROFL.

* Fingers-crossed, okay ?! *

Couple shot.

We make no wars.
Peace, Jimbaxter. Peaceeee.

Viva la mexico, viva la meh-hee-koh
and viva la Afghanistan!
OMFG. I'm laughing my ass off.

You were damn gone.

A picture for all girls,
somehow the two vain fellow friends popped out.

An incomplete group picture.
Two fellas in the picture randomly joined us.
Just in case you're wondering, black & white
was our theme on that night.

Back to the story. While the rest started partying at 12, we, being Malaysians as usual, were one and a half hour late. Arrived at the club to find that the birthday boy was partially gone. Somehow, it has always been a tradition that we must bring the birthday baby down by all means, regardless of whether it's a boy or a girl. Yeah well, the mission was obviously accomplished or rather more than what we had expected to do cause' not only the birthday boy but most of us also went home so high on alcohol, feeling like a rainbow, so high. Not forgetting something interesting & hilarious, at least to you it may be hilarious. My baby was out of control that he puked on the damn floor and me, being equally gone at the same time, slipped and hence my back landed flat on the puke. OMFG. And I need to send my clothes to the laundry, cause' I feel super disgusted to wash it with my bare hands, even though it's my boyfriend's puke. But hello, it's still puke anyways.

Lavender, Moment of Bliss.

Had a quiet weekend this week,
and took two days to complete
the whole Taiwanese drama, ' Lavender '
Used to like this love story back in 2002
and suddenly had the thought of repeating the
drama once more.

Just thought of sharing this song with all of you
after watching the drama. It's one of the OST from Lavender.

Still remember those time when I was younger,
even the saddest story couldn't make me cry and
when people around me teared, I'd always laugh it off with
" Oh my god. You're tearing. ( Laugh out loud. )
Why the hell do you need to tear man ? It's just a movie, come on. "

Now, I finally understand.
I had good times crying over the weekend,
because of ' Lavender. ' When certain scenes washed in,
my tears just fell off incontrollably. ;-)
